If the paper is going through the printer, but little or no ink is showing, or the colours are not printing correctly then it’s likely that the Printhead is blocked. Please follow the below instructions –
Firstly, try running the printhead cleaning process via your printers maintenance settings and see if this resolves the issue. N.B. Most Canon printers has a first and second level cleaning cycle built into the maintenance settings. If the first level cycle doesn’t restore the printing, please run the second level (deep cleaning) cycle.
If this still doesn’t restore the print quality, then remove the offending cartridge, hold under a steaming kettle for 15 seconds then wipe the reverse of the cartridge (metal printhead) with a cotton bud. Return to the printer and run the printhead cleaning process again if required.
Whilst remanufactured cartridges offer a great cost-effective solution for every day printing, for the absolute best results on high quality printing (photos etc), we always recommend that original OEM cartridges are used.
The above cleaning processes will help get the best results from the cartridge, subject to sufficient ink being left in the cartridge.
Please do not worry.
